Scientific Inquiry 

Science inquiry is a process that involves experimention to explore observations, collect data and answer questions. One of the most important step-wise tools used in scienfitic inquiry is the scientific method. 

This learning module is the first step towards understanding this critical tool. We will begin learning exactly what the scientific method is and the sources of information that utilize it. 

There are 5 learning goals we have for you over the course of this module:

Identify

Identify the components of the scientific method - question, hypothesize, test, observe, report and repeat

"Failed" Experiment

Understand the meaning of a "failed" experiment and how it provides meaning and a way forward

Purpose

Understand the purpose of (using) the scientific method and the bias that may occur

History

Understand the history of the scientific method and how it is a dynamic process that is constantly changing over time

Formulate

Understand how to formulate and execute all parts of the scientific method
